Hi, i think the battery is gone on my Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop - basically the charging/power light keeps flashing orange when the ac adapter is in, i read somewhere that this is an indication that the battery is on its way out... Would my standard ac adapter charge this battery considering its a longer life version?

Should charge it fine, will just take a bit longer to reach full charge but as you say it will last you longer, seems to be worth it.
