    Ten even money bets..

    1# stake 10 @ evens = 20
    2# stake 20 @ evens = 40
    3# stake 40 @ evens = 80
    4# stake 80 @ evens = 160
    5# stake 160 @ evens = 320
    6# stake 320 @ evens = 640
    7# stake 640 @ evens = 1280
    8# stake 1280 @ evens = 2560
    9# stake 2560 @ evens = 5120
    10#stake 5120 @ evens = 10,240

    Anyone tried it?

Can't see too many people willing to bet 5G on an even money shot if it came to it. Why not try the same principle but go from EUR1 to EUR1024 ? Mentally it would be easier to say 'well I started with EUR1 and technically that is all I would lose over the 10 bets if I didn't go all the way' - so you treat it as an accumulator rather than 10 singles.
Also rather than always trying to find an even money bet, why not average out over the 10 bets so one week you might take a 4/6 bet and the next a 6/4 bet.

Unfortunately it is much worse than a coinflip, unless you continually get two even money shots in a two horse race.

I am going to see if I can get as far as 7 bets (1280 eu). If I get past the first two (and thats a huge if) I will scan the betting images and post them here (if someone shows me how).

Today I am going for Samuel Charles (Ling 1.40). He is 5/4 and if he wins I will put the lot (22.50) on the next bet.

not really, if you have a bet on an even money shot you should reckon its overpriced (same as any bet one should have). therefore odds => even money chance you reckon it has more than an even money chance (in effect it should be odds on). Therefore its better than a coin flip if you're right

    Likely to fall flat on my face in the first bet but here goes;

    1st bet - Halla San 5/6 Muss 3.50 Wed. Feb 13

is this confined to horse racing only or can the bets also come from other sports - football, rugby ??

Try even doing it for football teams it is very hard;)

I know I have been through it a few times, usually falling flat after 5 or 6 in a row. For horses I would be astonished if anyone got 10 in a row;)

That does sound like a better idea.

What's the name of that bookies that you actually make a bet with someone else? It might make it easier if you can find someone who was willing to have and even money bet where you had a slightly better chance.
