taylor and martin guitars in dublin

    Hi All,

    a friend is looking into getting either a Taylor or a Martin acoustic. can anyone tell me which shops stock them around dublin? we were in Goodwins today and they have a couple

    music maker stock taylor,the older lad in the acoustic section is pretty sound,knows his stuff

    goodwins stock martin as do perfect pitch

    also musican inc. sell martins, but they have limited in shop stock but can order a specific model in for you in 2 days.

    it's where i bought mine, dealt with nigel - a sound bloke.

    I went in to buy a takamine in music maker and he told me I wasn't aloud play the guitar, feckin spoon he was lol, needless to say I took my business to perfect pitch and got my baby!

    I've never come across that in Music Maker's acoustic dept. Actually quite the opposite, the guy was trying to persuade me to play a few of them. I was just browsing and having a chat about a guitar he was playing.

    Usually you ask before trying out any of the instruments in there, they're more than happy to let you play them if you do that. Just don't start singing, I've seen people get an earful because they go in and think they can have a singalong with some friends. LOL :D

    do music maker deffo still stock taylor?

    because i was in there over the weekend and i couldnt find them anywhere upstairs in the Acoustic dept.

    I'm not gone on the place because the proaudio guys are almost always clueless bullsh*tters, but never had a problem like that. They even seemed more than happy to go dig out guitars from the back for me to play.

    i dont think they have taylor anymore cause when i got mine in musician the guy was telling me they lost the contract to sell them in dublin. go into musician if you rlooking for a taylor but stick to goodwins and perfect pitch for the martins cause musician only do the cheap mdf yokes
