I've heard that if this goes over a certian length that you will be charged more. This is according to my cousin anyway.I think if it's like over 20 metres. He says he was charged 60,and no way is phoneline 20 metres away

It's possible that you can be charged more if it is going to take longer than allowed to run the cable as you'd like. Not so much the length of cable (usually) but I'd say more to do with time consumption. This should be discussed with the person beforehand.

I think according to skys policy if telephone point is 5metres or less its free, after that there is a charge which is only fair in my opinion as running some phonelines can be a real pain in the aaassssssssssssssssssssssssssss..

Not everyone has access to cable
    MMDS is ****
    Better picture quality
    Interactive features
    Better selection of channels

At discretion of installer. As Steven said some are quick some are not. I would usually charge between 10 and 20 Euro. If straight forward and quick (10 minutes or so) no charge. 60 Euro sounds well over the top.

I agree with Rippy as an independant installer we usually charge between €20-€30 for a phoneline if its awkward etc...and €60 for one point is far 2 expensive...why not run it yourself if your worried bout the cost...
