Hi all.

I've been interested in having pet rats for some time now, I've had various other rodents since I was very young, but I've always wanted to keep rats.
I saw an add in a local paper advertising two rats going for free to a good home, but I can't get in contact with the person, so I think I'm going to buy.

I'm living in Galway and I'm not sure if any of the pet shops here sell them or not. Does anyone know where to get rats in Galway? Also what would be the typical cost of keeping rats?
