    Hi Folks,
I'm picking up one of these later, 2002 - 56000k~.
Anything I should be on the lookout for?

    Cheers!
    Steve.

Other than the usual (crashed etc), CV joints, timing belt (not due quite yet, but nice if it has been done). Nothing else really.

If it's a hatchback then it's a UK import and all the usual UK import stuff applies: HPI check etc. Even if it's a saloon worth checking is it an import.

He lives up north so I'd think it'll be a UK model anyway!

Steve, you should probably not buy one off anyone from the Photo board ;)

It's just had a full service, timing belt included - so no worries there.
Yeah, I'm up north, it's the 5-door hatchback model.
    I'm moving from a 2001 Toyota Corolla :)
cambo, I actually get along with most of the photo board :)

One more thing - quite a basic question really - I'm looking repleace the gear knob.
Are all Honda gear knobs the same fit etc? Do you just pull it off of is there more to it than that?
    Never done it before. :)

    Cheers.

Just screw off the old knob, any honda knob should fit it.

Keep an eye on the engine management light, it should light up, and then extinguish a few seconds after the engine is running.
