Whats the best Red dot sight?

I've been researching this a little, and it seems some RS red dots do not have parallax correction at less than 50 metres range, ie airsoft range.

Tell me your experiences with open sights, eotech replicas, aimpoint replicas, and whether or not they have correct parallax adjustment at 10-50 metres.
And if not how easy is it to gauge when you have your eye lined up.

Also the durability of the sight itself, and the lenses strength.

It seems to me a round reticle would be easiest to cut a piece of perspex or poly carbonate to protect it, but any thoughts on this too would be welcome.

Works great. I tried a replica Eotech on Sunday and it was incredibly dark and would put you at a major disadvantage in any low light.

As for parallax correction I wouldn't worry about it its not going to effect you much.

i have that one rew linked to there, its very good and being so small it doesnt interfere with your view at all., i have the eotech aswell although mine isnt dark and i can see through it perfectly, there was a problem with zero-ing it at first though.,
to be honest you'd do well to crack either of them with a BB,mine have taken a lot of hits, particularly the the small one (which i later cracked when packing it into my bag.,lol)

Is the dot itself acurate?

As in, its just projected onto the lens, does the parallax effect keep the dot on the point of impact, even if you arent perfectly lined up with site, at a slight angle.

yeah the dot stays perfect, if you look at it from extreme angles then it can go to the side as its folowing the curvature of the glass but in normal use im very happy with mine,.

As for parallax correction I wouldn't worry about it its not going to effect you much.

I have that or something very similar on my UMP. {Did yours come in a litttle navy box with golden text?}.

Works verywell and comes with a strong rubber cover for protectcion.

I have a tubed and a non tubed Red-Dot
There is no parallax as your not dealing with magnification.

I got a G&P 30mm Red / Green Tubed & it gets my thumbs up!!
Its excellent though I have never bothered zeroing it.

i have the one that rew posted there, i got from some place in hong kong, its a deadly piece, its pretty accurate at 50 metre's you might have a foot spread of a grouping but ultimately its a good addition

The sight itsself no matter how cheap and crap is always going to be more acurate then an AEG so I'd go for one that you line. I prefer the look of Eotech but you cann't beat the one I got it does the job perfectly. I think someone in China is churning them out and they get brabed a few differnat ways but its the same piece of hardware. Prices vary quite a bit. My one has 4 reticule patterns and 2 differnt coloured LED's

I agree with Bullets on this, I also purchased one of these from arisofteire
and can't fault it.

I also picked up a couple from ebaybanned, whilst they are not bad I prefer
the airsofteire one.

I have an Aimpoint and an Eotech clone. The Aimpoint seems to be better, the red dot is brighter and functional in most daylight conditions.
