    Hi there.

Myself and my girlfriend are in our early 20s, looking to go somewhere in June for a week. Thing is we haven't a clue where!
We want somewhere relaxing obviously, and while a beach would be nice we're not going for a beach holiday - somewhere with something to do or see (sightseeing, culture etc) would also be nice, we'd only want a maximum 2 days on a beach.

We just dont have a clue where to go though! Any advice would be appreciated. Our budget would be limited (she's still in college and insists on paying her half!) but not too limited.

This is all very vague I know, but we're open to suggestions. Thanks!

Egypt - hot, lots to do, spend time snorkling on red sea and a few days seeing the sights in Luxor. Budget travel have good deals usually.

Croatia. Great weather, food, culture and 1 of my all time favourite holidays. Direct flights from Dublin and thousands of islands if you want to move around.

With the dollar the way it is, why not jump across the Atlantic

What I suggested to lil smiler in this thread a few mins ago

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055273274

Just to add though about stuff to do...diving and snorkeling in peurto del carmen, surfing and windsurfing in the west side of the island, camel rides, all the caesar manrique sites, any of them they're cool. And also rent a car for 50 euro a day which you would get around the island in one day- cheap petrol.

    hope it helps

ah you're in the same boat as me... see my thread below

i also am insisting on paying my wown way, he's already brought me away twice last year and spent 2 nights in Hilton hotel this year so I would just like to pay my own way because I feel guilty that i'm not working and can't afford to pay to bring him away...anyway..

I'm hoping the OH will go with Egypt or Croatia, mainly Egypt judging by what everyone else has said, yet that one post is making me think of somewhere like Lanzarote etc.. ahhh!!!!

Lots to do in Lanzarote, lots of sun, lots of sea, lots of sand and a little bit of the other if you are able for it after a very full and fun filled day.
