Cancel ebay item?

    Is there a way to cancel an ebay item after you went up till just before paying with paypal?

    I bought a linksys wifi ariel through buy it now buy when I clicked to pay through paypal i get a message saying the user cannot accept payments at this time. I emailed him but he hasnt replied. So now its just sittin gthere in my ebay with the option to pay for it but I cant obviously.
    Any solution to this?

    If the seller can't accept payments then it could be that his account is under suspension or investigation. Fire off an email to eBay telling them that you tried to pay, but are unable to since either eBay or Paypal are blocking the payment. This protects you against possible seller complaint about non payment, as you get your speak in first.

    After that, just ignore it till it goes away. Happened me some time back. Paypal wouldn't accept the payment without an invoice from the seller and the seller never responded to multiple attempts to get an invoice. I got the usual crud back from eBay when I contacted them, but at least it was proof of my trying.

    there were some problems with ebay/paypal over the last couple of days. I had the same problem earlier today, but once I'd logged into paypal manually and then went back to the auciton and started the payment process again it all worked fine and I was able to pay.

    I mailed the seller anyway to confirm payment but I didn't hear back from them yet either. i think the whole place is screwed at the moment tbh.
