wondering if anyone can suggest places to go for one or two hour hacks around dublin or wicklow on saturdays or sundays? planning ahead for when the weather improves.... ability wise i can trot & canter competently, not a fan of jumping really.

Have you tried the forestry? maybe not the most interesting trail to do but I've never tried it myself so can't say! I don't know if there are any forestry plantations around your area but the last time I was in one it said you could ride horses in it with a permit.....probably from coilte. There's also the beach of course, and maybe some quiet mountain roads you could box your horse out to.
