Hi my daughter is going on a school tour to paris and wants to take a digital camera with her as mine is an older model without sound on the video she is reluctant to take it.

Was looking in the argos catalogue and there are plenty cheap ones (rather not get her to dear a camera in case it gets lost), but don't know much about them.
Vivitar - are they any good??
    Hitachi - ditto

Seen one on line it was a Texon - anyone know anything about them??

Or would I be better with a fuji or Nikon or a kodak

Go for Canon or Nikon. I'd steer clear of Vivitar and Hitachi and I wouldn't touch Texon (never heard of em) with a forty foot pole.

Try www.pixmania.com for some good prices.
