I'm looking to buy something from casio with an 80's feel to it.

stainless steel, stop watch, all mod cons ;)

so besides the calculator watches what casio do you think defined the 80's?

Slightly off topic but one of the lads in my class at school had a tv remote watch and thought it was hilarious to change the tv whenever we watched videos in class.

I always wanted a casio LCD watch but never got one. The rarer LED watches from the 70s came up on the antiques roadshow recently.
I thought it was great in Ashes to Ashes last week when everyones watch beeped on the hour.
Wasn't there a seiko watch that played a little song?

Anyone remember the water powered watches from the late 80's?, you needed to put them in a glass of water to charge them up. I was telling one of my friends about the one I used to have as a kid, he thought I was winding him up.

I remember some of the Casio game calculators

Gut in school used to hire out the boxing one and the " attack" for something like 10p a night.

    Cost me a feckin' fortune.....

I remember when you could save up Texaco tokens and get a digital watch after spending the budget of a small African country on petrol. It had a radio on it but it didn't work well on moving buses :(

Water watches were indeed fantastic. They were utterly useless at keeping the time but who cared. I mean they were watches.. that ran on water!

I remember that Pope John Paul II had one when elected in 1978. We were talking about it in school at the time and decided that he was a "cool ".
