I was in PC World in Sligo last week to pick up a laptop for my mother. I would normally buy online but she wanted a bricks and mortar shop to return to should there be any problems. I knew the model I was going for and when i told one of the sales guys I wanted it he was trying to sell me the 'pc healthcheck' service. I had no interest in this but i asked him what it involved, for a laugh. He told me that once a year i could bring the laptop in to be checked. He said this would involve taking out most of the parts and testing them on other machines:eek: no thanks, if it aint broke.....He also said that they would clean out the dust and dead processors:D:D
Just wondering if anyone ever had a problem with dead processors in their machines:D needless to say I didnt go for the healthcheck

    Complete gimmick for the uninitiated.

Me wonders how many "problems" they would find when you bring it back a year later?
