Im on my first provisional and am wondering where the best place for insurance is.

Or does anyone have a site that tells ya where to get the cheapest insurance? ie you put in all your details and the cheapest quote pops up

123.ie, they don't tell you who the insurer is though, none of those sites will as they won't get you business.

Quinn are probably the cheapest but I would rather not drive then go with them. Best bet is to phone round.

If you check the quotes through 123.ie you'll see that the excesses quoted are usually something ridiculous like 1000 for a woman or 2000 for a man on the same policy

As mentioned Quinn are almost certain to be the cheapest if you're on a first provisional and presumably reasonably young and male. I used them as a first insurer and had no problems with them, other people's mileage has varied quite considerably. Use them to start and move to a proper insurer when you pass your test.

AA have given really good quotes to 2 friends of mine, both in their 20s and female on provisional licences.

    123.ie and insure.ie I find expensive.

If you ring fbd they will quote you too but not online.
