    Hi,

Just wondering if anything can be done to improve the picture on a new 32" phillips lcd tv. The picture is very hazy and grainy, its connected to an old chorus box and the owner is reluctant to go out and buy a new box or get an upgrade, they are retired and very slow to change their ways. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure the scart cable is a good one. I got a 3 metre cable when I wallmounted my new sony bravia and the reception was dismal. Got a good shielded cable from harvy norman for about 35euro and it is is like having the lights turned on again.

I'd imagine its a 'Jerrold' Chorus analogue box the OP mentions, these output on a RF channel, they do not have a SCART or any demodulated output. The new TV might have a poor quality tuner?

Strange that, since chorus have recalled all the Analog MMDS and Cable boxes.

    Digital though:
The MMDS Chorus boxes give a crap picture.
Cable is slightly better but still rubbish on a 32"
