Was looking at the timeline on lostpedia, and apparently "Confirmed Dead" occurs on day 93, which is December 24th 2004.
I wonder if there'll be any reference to it on the show, as surely someone from the losties has been keeping track of the days, or even the new arrivals should be aware of it...

In one of the podcasts last year they said Christmas might be celebrated on the show in season 4. So maybe next week it'll be mentioned on the island and the flashback/forward will be set at Christmas.

Ben will be visited by the 3 ghosts of christmas, and by the end of the episode will be a new man, telling everyone everything he knows about the island.

^ Haha I'm liking this idea. First ghost Christian, then Jacob, then Richard who was actually a ghost all along....ooooooh!

Well there's the whole theory that time moves slower on the island, or there's in fact no time at all, so in that case it wouldn't be Christmas :D

But it would be nice to have a Christmas episode!

Actually each of the ghosts smacking Ben around the head would probably be more in tune with the action he's getting so far this year.

In the first episode with Hurleys flash forward Charlie is at the Ho-Ho stand, later he and jack are playing horse and they get as far as H-O

Also Jack talks about growing a beard.

We now have Ho-Ho-Ho and a man with a big beard! Hmm coincidence..i think not!

On a funny note i think it means Jack could in fact be santa and when he goes to the funeral home in the flash forward he is in tears because his greatest elf charlie has died (hence the tiny coffin).:D

I don't know if it was said before but H and O are the 8th and 15th letter of the alphabet respectively. So maybe Santa Claus has something to do with the mystery of Lost...
