Airsoft device advice?

Hey folks, I'm interested in getting involved in airsoft (posted a few questions in the newbies thread and got great responses there!) and was just wondering if anyone could help me out with some help here on this. I live in Tallaght and a store in the Square is selling off airsoft gear at discount prices, was just wondering if any of this stuff is any use or if it's just crappy stuff that they're hoping to offload on gullible types? I'm just looking for something suitable for a newbies first one, not something fancy but something decently functional that I can learn with. Here's the stuff they're selling:

    P-90 Manufacturer - DSA INC

    Electric
    0.5 joule
    6 mm
    Material - plastic

Was 125 euro, now 90 euro

    Steyer-Aug Manufacturer - DSA INC

    Electric
    0.35 joule
    6 mm
    2000 g
    Material - 364 abs
    Capacity - 30 shots

    145 euro

DS 4 Carbine Manufacturer - DSA INC

    Electric
    0.4 joule
    6 mm
    Material - plastic

Was 125 euro, now 90 euro

    CM.022 AK-47 / CM.020 A1 Manufacturer - Couldn't see the tag

    Electric spring
    0.5 joule
    6mm
    2000g
    Material - ABJ
    Capacity - 90 shots

Was 145 euro, now 95 euro

Arsenal Beta Spetznaz - 180 euro

    AK - Arsenal SA M7 - 180 euro

Ok, thats the stuff that I could get off the sides of the boxes (they have 'em cased off and since I was wearing a full length leather trench-coat while I was looking at them asking to hold one probably would have caused some panic :o). Sorry if I messed up some of the info and got the manufacturers names wrong or anything like that wrong, and sorry if I posted any irrelevant information about any of them, but I figured the more info I put up the better idea the folks in the know would have about what they are. Any advice would be really appreciated, cheers!

Sorry for the massive post aswell!

way over priced mate., i wouldnt bother with them at all if i were you., the cheapest one is 90 quid and you couldget a very respectable MP5 from shiva for that money., there all well under powered too.,

I wouldn't use any of them if you paid me. Seriously poor quality and power. In my personal opinion, don't even walk into that store.

Anything you buy should be close to 1 joule in power (but not over), and should not be made from a cheap type of plastic.

Cheers folks! I don't know anything about these things so just thought I'd check with people who do, the guys there are of course gonna tell me they are all fantastic and put one over on me. Looks like my worries about them trying to sell crap to gullible types were well founded so! Thanks for saving me from wasting my cash guys!

Any tips for where the best place is to pick up something suitable and where the staff would be helpful and not try to screw me over? (I don't mean that to sound twattish, I'm just worried that some places might try to take advantage of a guy who clearly hasn't a clue what he's at!) If this kinda thing is covered in another thread I'm sorry for clogging up the forum!

shiva is a member on here and for 80quid you cound get an MP5k from him, i have one myself and reccomend them as a goot starter and secondary gun,
    this is his site,
    www.eirsoft.ie

IAS.Ltd is another good site to get the MP5k and other decent aegs for cheap but i think there still waiting on stock to come in, there at,
    http://www.irishairsoftsupplies.ie

then theres www.airsofteire.com and MIA for more of the higher quallity stuff that will cost a fair bit more.,

im fairly new to this and have bought all my gear from tony at eirsoft.ie

he's cheap and provides good service

MIA are also good and i'v never heard of anyone

complain about anything the retailers have sold.

they wont take advantage, id would be hard, in MIA you just walk

into the shop, the prices are on the guns and you just buy them!

note:the retailers will take any form of payment, even food stamps acording

    to derek at MIA.

But Tony, he's a cold heartless retailer who only wants cash! :D

seriously though you won't have a problem with the retailers

All that stuff mentioned is junk.

It should be ground up and molded into bbs to e fired out of springers and claymores, though popcorn seeds would probably be better.

I hear Tony takes butter vouchers too,. ;)

EDIT: so the |IAS order is finally in then? must have a nosey,.

As the guys have said, its really not worth buying any of it.
A friend of mine bought some overpriced rubbish in a store in clonmel.
You'd be amazed at how poorly made they are in comparrison to those the trusted retailers on here sell.

Flimsy plastic galore. If i were you i'd steer clear of stores like that and pop into M.I.A in dublin or go online.

    Oh and Welcome to Airsoft;)
