    Could someone PLEASE help me translate 'Will you be my Valentine?' to german ?? It would be greatly appreciated :) Thank you!

    Tricky. LEO acknowledges relevant words for the day and for a Valentine's greeting. There's also this, which offers a few possible directions:

    "Sei mein Valentinchen" is a possibility, but the native speakers should probably pass judgement on whether that's just too makey-up.

    Es gibt keine Ueberstzung/Aequivalent fuer "being someones Valentine".

    Es gibt den Valentinstag ...und das war's dann schon.

    Der schnulzige Text fuer die Valentinstagskarte muss ohne das Wort "Valentin(e)" gebastelt werden.

    Heute ist es sowieso schon zu spaet, aber egal :D

    No way. Literal meaning: Are you my Valentine?

    As we've seen, Valentine doesn't mean bf/gf in German. A specific problem with your version is that it uses the formal mode of address, which isn't a great start for any modern relationship...

    oh yeah i was kinda thinking about that but i like just looked it up on one of those online translators you know!

    Ja, schöner alter Thread...

    Egal, es gibt tatsächlich eine Übersetzung. Schlicht und ergreifend: Valentinsschatz. Statt einer Frage wird aber meines Wissens nach auf eine Bitte zurückgegriffen - "Sei mein Valentinsschatz!"
