Normally my internet connection is good, but lately I’ve had loadsa lag when on ipoker...Been on to support n all that jazz but they say the problems coming from my end...
So I was wondering is there any tips ye might have that would help get round this?? Anyone solve similar problem?

I’ve tried the usual like getting rid of unnecessary programs, checking everything for viruses etc. but it hasn’t helped.

It’s just that for everything else (downloading/streaming etc.) the connection is great and I’ve nothing else open at the same time, I know a bit of lag/occasional freezing is kind of normal but it’s happening every time I log on
..It’s literally just when playing poker its being brutal, timing out/put in sit out mode every few minutes and can’t play at all...any thoughts??

Apparently, if you've been using P2P file sharing programs before or around the time you try to use IPoker, it messes with the connection. Never affected me it must be said, but some have said they've experienced it.

Also, I had problems playing on IPoker over a wireless network, I know others have had similar too, what kind of network are you on and who is your BB provider?

iPoker is a joke for lagging. Yesterday was particularly bad with episodes of up to 1 minute. Any time I opened a new table, that also caused a few seconds aswell.

Yea dont use any P2P programs anymore, I did in the past...makes sense that they would affect things... Its standard broadband though not wireless

iPoker on 3 wireless Broadband has cost me hundreds of $$$, maybe 5% iPoker as it's acted up on"stable connections" occasionally but a disconnection every 15 mins or so with 3 is ridiculous. My advice, don't get 3 for your connection and especially if you want to play poker.

Ya I totally agree with this. Its very frustrating to be involved in a hand and feel rushed to make a move in case you get disconnected. I mainly play SNGs but it does really tilt me from time to time.
I guess I just need to change broadband providers.
