I have a dell laptop and wen i go to play dvds it comes up wit an error message saying that it cannot verify copyright or sumthin to that effect, anyone have any idea what wrong, the dvd disc is perfect, its not from a different region or anything and plays perfect in other laptops, and yes it is a dvd drive that i'm putting it into. Could it be drivers?

We are going to need a helluva lot more information.

What exactly is the error you are seeing? What operating system? What software are you using to view the DVD? Does the DVD drive read data discs without problem?

How do you deduce that a copyright error while playing a DVD is related to video card drivers?

Happened me years ago... Think its a macrovision error or something like that while in a DVD Player, updating vid drivers fixed it :)

Try using a different software package to play the DVD. For example use Windows Media player or Media Player classic or VLC player, just to see do any of them eliminate the problem.
Also download the latest codec pack for your machine, http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/
Other media players available on the main page www.filehippo.com
