Has anyone any experience of this?

I heard if you set up a pulley system (like gun-range targets) with a sheet of paper with some detail on it and move it back and forth to yourself and keep your eye focused on the sheet ,your eyesight will improve very slowly.
    Any thoughts?

Does any one know of any ways that can help improve eyesight? I've discovered how crap it is to be dependant on glasses so any way I can improve my eyesight would be a good thing.

well obviously you depend on your glasses from your last thread about your glasses breaking,
But wearing your glasses for as long as your awake can be very hard on your eyes, you should give your eyes a rest for about an hour a day but not strain them while doing so.
Also if you use a PC at work, take a 2minutes break from the pc every hour, and have a lamp lighting your work area at all times-even with an overhead light.
Also the anti reflection coating on lenses MAY also help fight eye fatigue.

In so far as improving your sight, its not very possible.. but reducing the chance of it getting it worse is.

Cheers for the advice. I'll definitely start doing that.

I used to do this while reading. Just moved the book slowly as far as I could manage to see the letters and back closer to me. Did not do this regularly, just whenever I remembered it.
My eyesight was -3.75 in 2006. When I had my last check up it was -2.75 in 2007. I don't know if it's from the exercises or something else but it's quiet a difference. It took about a year though. I'm bad at going for check ups :)
I'll let you know if it improves any more in 5 years :)

Eye exercises are perfectly valid, and bring some relief from strain.
