Lens repair

    i borked my 50mm 1.8 last night, slipped on a hill and landed on it. the lens will not not focus automaticlly unless its pretty muched focused manually if ya get me, it can fine adjust but jams when trying to rotate larger distances...is it worth sending in to be repaired?

    Iv read about these kinda problems on flickr(mainly us people)and they are told to just buy a new one cos they canon are pricey fixing lenses im guessing.Try repairing it yourself maybe

    it was a canon xh a1, if you had fallen on that there would have been a bit of trouble. kinda lucky, of the 6+ k of gear we had with us, you managed to fall on the battered, lens cap-less 50mm.
