Cork to Dublin + Check in time

    Does anyone know if check in for inland flights like this still require check in like 2hrs before?

    Yes, depending on airline. Aer Arann allow checkin up to 25 mins before flight. Both allow online checkin if only hand luggage

    With check-in times of one to two hours (esp if you have luggage) I think it proves that overall for domestic travel here in Ireland the train is king.

    Well....if there's a rail line running by you with quality stock like on the Cork-Dublin line.

    Don't know about Cork but Dublin has a dedicated security channel for domestic flights in order to speed them through. Aer Arann closes 30 minutes before departure in Dublin and Cork. But they recommend an hour.

    If you check in online you only have to be at the gate 20 minutes prior to departure. If you push it you can still board 11 minutes prior to departure.:eek: That's comparable to trains.
