    Hi All,
I've recently been elected onto the Sports & Social committee in my job, I need to organise something soon as we haven't done anything since Dec. Anyone know a good Website where I can get some ideas and tips? We've done the usual, Nights at the dog racing, Karting etc. members are starting to get bored so I need to grab their interest again fast. I'd be grateful for any help.

Paintball. Nothing brings the workers together like the opportunity to shoot eachother in the face.

    What about the cube? http://www.creativeevents.ie/thecube/cubeindex.htm

I did it twice with work and it was a really good night - pretty much a pub crawl but you get to arrange where you wanna stop - so you can arrange food in the pubs.they also have live music onboard. Depends on the amount of people you'd be thinking of.

Also how about arranging casino night? always a good laugh!! We did one in Fitzwilliam card club. Thought couple of years ago.

You could bring everyone over to Mosney for a.......................oh wait , no.
I suppose you could still head over and check it out. See how the otherside lives and all that.

Definitely has to be paintballing. I went with a few of the lads I used to work with for a stag do and it was some of the best craic I've ever had.

Set up a tag-rugby team if everybody is under thirty and they're both males and females. Dublin has an active league, don't know about the rest of the country.

Not sure about the relevant website-think it was www.astroturf.ie?

The paintballing idea is good, and relatively cheap too.

paintballings great craic, theres a climbing wall in ucd thatd be good for smaller groups, or indeed any climbing activity even those less strenious such as caving which can be great fun

If your going to consider paintballing you might as well consider airsoft as well. Better value than paintball and the equipment is much cooler.

Sea fishing is a great day out.

    Dogging?
    Toothing?
    Swinging?

Oh wait, you volunteered for S&S rep and then decided we would
do all the thinking for you whilst your colleagues surmise that you're
rather the imaginative, sociable and thoughtful kind. Nice try ;)

Depend's on the budget really. If you dont want the job as SS club president bring them to an owl sanctuary. They wont want to know you after that.

    Mud wrestling, lol.

    Genius.

Go to the dogs, good craic. Otherwise a few beers, a bit of kareoke and your away.

Best idea so fair...a free bar would also be super.

Thanks All, Some brilliant ideas there, We're looking into flying lessons followed by free bar n food in March n also a paintball session with free food and bar as an alternative for those who wouldn't be into the flying, would like to do the Treasure Hunt at a later date, sounds like it would be good craic, also now thinking of an Easter Egg Hunt for the kiddies of the members (And probably a Beer Tokens Hunt for the Adults at the same time Lol) Thanks everyone, you've been a great inspiration, common thought seems to be "As long as theres drink involved, ya can't go too far wrong on the craic front"
I couldn't agree more. Heres to a (hopefully) fun and alcohol fuelled Sports & Social Club.
