Question about magic eye

Hi there, I'm looking for some advice please.

If I get 2 Sky Boxes, 1 Standard and 1 SKY+ box, can I split the signal from each box to another TV and use a Magic eye to be able to change the station? We have 4 TV's on NTL at moment. WOuld be happy wnough to replace 3 of them on SKY, 4 is a bonus but the 4th TV is out of the way and I am not going to try and get a cable to it.

In order for the Magic Eye to work do I need to have a physical cable from the main box to the TV with the Magic eye????? SKY Sales told me there would be no wires needed for magic eye so no need to tell engineer in advance???? That doesn't sound right to me unless things have changed. We had SKY in the past and our Magic Eye TV required a cable to connect it (and the other TV) to the main SKY box.

If I do need to get the cable work done for this do I need to tell engineer in advance, will they charge me???? If so it may work out cheaper to just get a 3rd Box and not have to buy the magic eye and remote and get another box installed for €69..

    any suggestions.

If you intend on using the Sky "eye" then you will need a cable from RF2 on Skybox to the 4th TV.

Is the 4th TV very far from the Skybox, as maybe you could consider a video-sender to transmit signal wirelessly (not great if you've wifi running though, I find)

and source your magic eye and 2nd remote off ebay, waaayyy cheaper than the shops eg I had to replace one of my magic eyes recently and got one off this guy

RF output on Skyboxes are power boosted so distance shouldn't be an issue mine run from one end of the house to the other with no loss of quality - in fairness it's not a hard job to do yourself even for a novice! If you get extra boxes they'll charge on your subscription plus you have to keep them connected to the phone line.

    Probably. See diagram: http://www.satcure.co.uk/tech/images/pluscombdiag.gif

A T120 feeds up to two TV sets. A T140 feeds up to 4. And so on.
