iPod Frozen

    Hi all,

I was using my ipod with my Alpine car stereo (as I have done for over a year without any problems).

Suddenly it stopped working and so I disconnected the iPod. It is now stuck with the Alpine logo and OK to disconnect on the screen.

I have tried the usual Menu and Select button reset but it's having no effect at all, the hard drive isn't making any funny noise or anything.

Any ideas what could be wrong!?

Silly question maybe, but did you toggle the hold switch on and off first?

Then press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, press both and hold for a good few seconds. Might need to do it a few times.

Make sure it is charged up too for reset.

    Mornin lads,

I left the iPod overnight, this morning there is blank screen.

I've hooked it up to the pc - it then said "please wait very low battery".

The iPod is literally never taken out of the car - I always leave it connected to the Alpine headuni cable in the glovebox.

Does this mean the battery is shagged? How much are we usually taking for a replacement battery? It's a video iPod btw.

The battery is very low beacuse you left it on overnight... just leave it charge and it should be grand hopefully....

Could someone tell me is it bad to have it connected to the car 24/7?
