PaddyPower Pissing me off!!!

for at least the 3rd time in the last year, paddy power has upped the price of paddy points for their f***ing prizes... this is seriously after getting to me, instead of going for the 80gb i-pod i have now had to settle with the 8gb one and of course delete my account forever. i really had to vent here and im just wondering if this has annoyed many other people?

i fell its right to put this in the heading. when ye changed to i poker the points i need to earn on the new site compared to the old was actually ridicilious, i did the transfer rate on both amounts, and i was very very pissed off... ive been on this site, with no rakeback for a while, basically messing around and trying to get up to those points, and it seems whenever i get closer i seem to also get further away...
ive never seen this on another site and without a doubt i shall never ever play on there again, not the first bit of trouble ive had on there but thankfully its going to be the last...

Are you sure that you are not looking the old style 80Gig iPod which is cheaper than the new 8Gig iTouch?

If thats the case you are getting better value. Also if it is so you might want to hold on a little while because there was a new 32Gig iTouch released this week.

ive actually only ever seen this from paddy... ive ordered stuff from ft and ps before and didnt see them move in around a year in a half of me earning... but of course, paddy are just looking for more and more money off me, this has seriously pissed me off
never again will i even play a live tourney sponsored by them... too much hastle off them in the last 6 months

no, im sure... i would have to play on their site for around another 4 months in order to get up to the 80 i-pod video..
instead im now stuck with..... ZEN MicroPhoto 8GB


i lost my old i pod and had around 30gb on it, and i wanted that video one because lets face it.. they're class. im a movie man and would love to have it on the i-pod.. 8gb is absolutely tiny for me, ah well... get it, sell it, buy i-pod video or i phone i guess...

I don't play much omaha, so can't say I've heard that term before. I think it's great though!

Regarding players, companies like Cowan, Archos, iRiver, and Samsung lately, have much better players on the market than the i-pod. I just think people need to get away from the whole Apple/Creative scene. I wouldn't touch an i-pod with a ten foot clown pole.

In fairness to i-pod the i-touch is their best offering of late..... but still itunes tilts me for life as does converting vids...

I recommend the Zen vision M if you can get it...but it's a bit of a brick TBH ... the new zen is nice size though but limited at 16Gb.... where the old one had 30/60

creative are so easy... just drag and drop and it plays loads of different video formats....

I bought an i-touh for christmas for my other half and she loves it.... but I have to do all the converting!!..

there are also loads of other options.... check out a site called anythingbutipod

meh, never really was a topic.

i dunno, I never minded using itunes, and everythnigs in there already. never used it for videos. so that wouldn't make a difference. i've used other players and i always prefered the ipod, all slim and stuff, and easier to use. don't really get the hate?

you really need to have used others as well.... but if an i-pod suits your needs then they are fine.... If it's just for music and your used to it then the nano cant be bad... i won one last month in a rake race and sold it to a boardsie...

back on topic:

in fairness dougee stars have put the fpp requirement for stuff aswell i got a jacket for 2000fpps and its now 2800(them figures may not be 100% accurate but its somethin similar) and other stuff has gone up i noticed so its not only ppp!

Sorry for getting this off-topic; I'd better clear up what I started. It sounds like I'm having a go at i-pods just for the hell of it (I kind of am), but if you're happy with what the i-pod gives you, then obviously there's no need to change. And I'm definitely not against Creative players; as a company they know a huge amount about audio quality,etc, in general (I use one of their X-Fi cards in my PC and find it excellent).

If you're going for a new player, do a bit of research on similar players in the Cowon/iRiver range. You'll probably get a better, more feature-rich player at a cheaper price. The downside is that lesser-known players don't have as much support as i-pods, and can be trickier to get set up exactly the way you want them (check for things like how they tag your music, etc, if that's important to you). If you want something simple to use, go with the i-pod.

And if you're just going to use the headphones that come with any player, then it doesn't really matter what you get anyway.

You did well in that thread, but calling people sheep never goes down well, although I totally agree with your points.:) It's a tricky forum over there. I kinda get the feeling that if you're not posting about i-pods, the post is ignored.

i've worked with all the players,sony,creative,apple and plenty more...if your getting something get the archos with decent memory and screen...they are a great secret!you can even record live telly onto them.fantastic yokes
