Afternoon all, just looking for a bit of advice re my online play. I'm having a shocking week (by my standards) and am roughly $600 (~€420) down, all from playing cash (mainly $1/$2 although I have dropped down to $.5/$1 for some sessions.) I realise that $600 is a drop in the ocean for some players but this is the first time that I've had such a losing session for every session I've played for a full week! I don't have poker tracker but I use software called Holdem Indicator (is this **** compared to Poker tracker etc?) and my stats are as follows

    Hands VP$IP% PFR% AF WSD% WSDW%
    3414 24 10 3.6 6 44

    How does this rate? Good/Bad/Indifferent?

    Cheers

    Brian

You should be raising more, the closer your VPIP and PFR are the better.

Is that a went to showdown of 6%?

Yeah, went to showdown is 6%

That's very, very low. You're probably losing a huge amount of money in pots that don't get to showdown tbh.

Stop limping as much as you are tighten up slightly OOP. You need to raise more of your range.

A went to showdown % of 6 is, as already mentioned, very low. You should be concentrating on value betting because it looks like you're losing value on 4th and 5th street by taking down small pots on the flop and possibly losing big pots on the river!

That's too loose for full ring imo. I'd look to get it down to about 14 if I were you. Your raising percentage seems ok.

try tightening up a little and raising more, with vpip of 24/10 i assume ur limping in mid to early position with hands like kj, 10 j etc. tighten up from mid to early position and raise more in late position. also wsd 6%?? wow!! very strange

Dropping 3 buyins means nothing. You will go through far worse downswings at that level

    $600 is 3 buy-ins. You've had a losing session every session you've played for a week and you're only down 3 buy-ins. I'd be delighted.

everything else is covered. too loose preflop, but not raising enough. play less out of position. play more in position

Have 30-40 buyins for your level.

stats don't really mean anything unless its over a good sample size

Perhaps this WSD is worked out differently on Holdem Indicator, maybe it's a % of total hands, not just when you saw the flop, then 6% would sound right.

What would a typical went to showdown % be for a full ring player? Haven't played cash online in a while but seem to recall my PT stat is about 25% over the 30k+ hands I've played online - I am breakeven over these hands, mostly full ring, so must be doing many things wrong, including going to showdown too much / too little!

for six max. I would have thought it should be lower for fr.

loss of 3 buy in's at 1/2 is really not all that bad.... I've had several 10bi downswings..... on monday last i dropped 1200 at 1/2 and now am back in profit by 2k... so dont worry just concentrate on BR management and you'll be fine...

get PT or Holdem manager ... will really help you along I think
