Nil ach aon in mo mheabhair anois, is e

Nil aon tinteain mar do thinteain fein. = no fire like your own fire = no place like home

It's sad but right now I can only remember this one, and that's spelt badly I know.

Does anyone else remember any, I used to love hearing them. Also is a Seanfhocail and a saying a different thing? I was always v bad at Irish.

    Aithníonn ciaróg ciaróg eile.
bó le bata , capall le ceansacht.
Ní mar a síltear a bhítear.
Tír gan teanga, tír gan anam
Is fearr an sláinte ná an táinte.
    Is binn béal ina thost.
an rud is annamh is iontach
Ná tabhair breith ar an chéad scéal.
Is geall le sos malairt oibre.
    Buail an t-iarann te.
    Is minic ciúin ciontach.
    Bíonn blas ar an mbeagán.

if you dont understand one - ask

Go hiontach, is brea liom iad. Ar feidir leat iad a translate: both literally and with the general meaning. Go raibh mile maith agat!
