Photos for a demo

    Hey All,

    I've been asked to shoot some photos for a guy's demo cd.

    Just looking for general advice as I haven't done anything like this before.

    Should I keep it simple with just the guy and his guitar kind of thing?

    I would have thought that it is important for the record companies to see the guys face clearly, and also that I should leave space for his name, demo name etc ...

    any advice would be much appreciated :)

    Also post some more details of what kind of music he plays, age etc... No point in having gritty urban black and white shots suggested to you if the guy plays country and western music... More details and people should be more helpful I think! ;)

    well, his title song is about finding your angel/soul mate so he possibly wanted include another person posng as his angel.

    I would have thought it would have been a good idea for it just to be him..

    Yeah I think some more details would be helpful, a link to his myspace ro something maybe? Also, do you have access to a studio or anytihng? How are you with using flash and that, how are you with respects to exposure etc etc.
