Please tell me you havent booked this until you researched it!

Ive heard nothin but bad reveiew about this place. Terrible service i've left my review on trip advisor if you want o log on and check it. Decor of the hotel is gorgeous n rooms are nice too but we went to a party there n there was ony 30 people at it and they managed to get everything wrong.

No bread with soup meat served with no veg HAIR in dinners.. Desserts served at some tables with mains. DISASTER! Bar service was disgraceful also and have spoken to other people with about the place who would all be in agreement with me regarding the bad service.

Hopefully it will improve after the numerous complaints but i'd strongly advise you to reconsider n apologise if i ruined yoiur excitment!!

Isnt that the very recently opened one ? Perhaps it was newly opened teething problems ?

If you have paid your deposit chances are you will lose it so I would go over those concerns directly with the management before cancelling. Its always possible that someone has an isolated bad experience - though you would be foolish not to treat a bad report seriously I wouldnt put 100% trust in one persons experience either.

Having look at tripadvisor, it seems to be an isolated incident - all the other reviews are good.

Going by the date, perhaps it was around Christmas time? Hotels get temporary relief staff in around Xmas who may or may not be all that bothered about their work. I've heard plenty of people give out about otherwise fantastic hotels at Xmas.

I totally disagree, I've had the pleasure on many occasions of attending a variety of different functions in this hotel and have nothing but praise for all involved.

I'm sure as with ALL hotels ( a recent bad experience I had at a 'world' leading 5*L hotel stands testament to this point).....hiccups occur.

A hotel chain now run it... personally, I wouldn't rate it either.

This is no longer called The Tower Hotel it was taken over few mths ago by the Maldron Group.

maybe you need to go back and meet with someone regarding your arrangements.
I just stayed in a Maldron just recently and i didn't think much of it.
but that's jut my opinion. :)

I live locally to this hotel & know a few of the staff that work there if you are worried you should talk to one of the Managers there, I am sure they will be happy to help. They also recently hired more staff so maybe that were the previous problem.
