portable dvd player not reading disc

I have a bush portable dvd player.When I put a dvd in it says'loading' , then it says 'no disc'.Any ideas ???

whenever that happens to me i blow inside the unit and wipe the disc which usually resolves the problem for me,or else maybe the problem is that you are trying to play a blank disc which you recorded stuff onto? which is not compatible with the player.

Tried that but still reading 'no disc' or bad disc'.Am not using discs with stuff recorded onto them.Maybe I need to get it checked out.not worth it if I have to pay too much.Anyone know of anywhere?
