Hmm I'm without BBC 24 as well. I'll give a boot up the co-ax.

Yep they're back - sadly Buzz is still there.

    Mike.

I actually sent them a mail asking what Buzz was all about and are they serious offering it as a channel. I think others should do the same, anything to get rid of it.

They've added the Buzz logo to their channel list on the web site so they are actually providing this as an actual proper channel

I'm really hoping there's something we're missing here. More likely they get paid to carry it.

Yeah they have to be getting paid to show this, there's no way NTL could expect people to accept this as a channel,no way.

It's the kind of thing that you expect to find on satellite but not on cable, which you're paying for. There are good channels out there and they give us that?

There are god channels too and they give us those too

Now i remember why I stick to satellite, the old sat dreambox can make those channels disappear without trace.

The old Lucille Ball show "The Lucy Show" is apparently shown on Buzz in the morning. Probably the only proper programme it shows and its fifty years old...

Just tuned into Buzz to see what all the fuss was about....Jesus that has got to be the greatest load of cr*p I have seen since last night's 'Late Late Show'..

    Just spotted http://www.siliconrepublic.com/news/news.nv?storyid=single11027

Has it become a real channel or are they just advertising the greatest waste of cable bandwidth?

Hah! I love the straight-faced tone, Marie Boran has not watched it I presume. If that report is correct we'll have to keep an eye on it - boards.ie tv?

I saw something about it the free rag Metro this morning too. I'm not sure if previously was a taster of the exciting programming they would be showing or just a test. Thankfully SumoTV features still.

Expect a lot more press about it. They have appointed Elevate PR in Dublin to handle their media.

The future, eh....They must have been referring to Flash Gordon Conquers The Universe...oddly and concidently shown opposite the modern Flash Gordon series on Sci-Fi...

    Mike.

    Hi Mike,

I have watched it and it's no good at all. I didn't claim it was in my story - just reporting the fact that it exists and claims to be Ireland's first interactive TV channel. I pointed out that it takes most of its content from Sumo TV and that it doesn't even have a way of letting online 'viewers' submit requests etc.

    Cheers

    Marie B
