I am hoping to apply to do a degree as a mature Student for this September.

Which colleges offer a degree in Primary Teaching.

Is it only St Pats in Dublin?

    Is there any in Sligo?

Also is there anyway you can become a Primary School Teacher by doing something part-time?

    Thanks for any help...

it might be a bit late for applications for this year, most mature student applications had a closing date of Feb 1st, but you can check with the colleges. No primary teaching in sligo, only Home Ec teaching in St. Angela's. You can also go to:
    Mary Immaculate College in Limerick,
    Froebel College, Dublin
    Marino Institute, Dublin

You can only do primary teaching part-time as a distance learning post grad if you already have a degree. Hibernia College run that course

    www.hiberniacollege.ie

And some of the other colleges offer an 18 month post grad conversion course to become a primary teacher
