Love the Programme, hate the character

What programme to you love, only for it to be ruined by one particular character/actor.........mine is CSI Miami.............love it but can't stand the sight of Horatio Caine. How is this guy in the most popular show in u.s. when he is so wooden and cringeworthy.

Horatio Caine is the coolest cat on tv. He's an unstoppable posing machine that always looks good and can magically appear at will where ever he wants. He's above giving first aid to anyone instead he prefers to let them die so he can go on a one man revenge spree that holds up in court. He may not be judge, jury and executioner but he's everything in between.

How can anyone not love him?

And then at the end he smiles with approval as, in the background, we clearly see the former prostitute who survived the killer make her way into a drug rehab clinic, and we just know that Horatio arranged it all...

The majority of the 'Prison Break' cast can't act to be perfectly honest.. but it doesn't particularly take away from my enjoyment of the show!

Robert Knepper (T-Bag) and William Fichtner (Mahone) are both great .. but the rest, particularly Wentworth Miller (Michael) and Dominic Purcell (Linc), are atrocious!

And the sight of Wentworth Miller's "squinty intense" eyes send me into fits of rage.... I've ruined 3 TV's already!

I used to like the earlier series of friends but Phoebe.....grrrr the most annoying character ever created.

ARRRRG I HATE DAVID CARUSO!!! He plays every part the exact same including Hoartio Caine!

They could replace him with a crash test dummy and stick a pair of sunglasses on it and the performance would be about the same. The dummy would probably have a better sense of humour though!

I too hate Caruso.
Conor from Angel annoyed me nearly enough to make me stop watching. Janeway n voyager succeeded in this. Couldnt watch after half way through the first season.

Well, without actually opening this thread, I knew exactly who it would be about. David Caruso has to be the most annoying actor on tv. We have stopped watching CSI Miami here as we find him WAYYYY too annoying to make the show worth watching.

caruso is really annoying but so hillarious at the same time. his sunglasses are nicknamed the sunglasses of justice. i have to admit though he has greatly improved in season 6

CSI is sh1te.

Caruso is a sh1te actor.

Caine is a sh1t character.

And apart from all that hes a ginge.


The early seasons of that Damon Wayans comedy My Wife and Kids are hilarious and one of the better US comedys in recent years (and as for Claire, the daughter.....:eek::eek::eek: ) but jaysus that kid Franklin ruined it. His bits just were not funny.

Ditto Delboys son in the dont call it a comeback Only Fools "no, this time it really is final" trilogy.

AJ on the Sopranos was an annoying dickhead. I just never rated the actor.

Yeah I agree about Dawn in Buffy and Connor in Angel - they were so irriatating! I tend to avoid episodes centred around them when watching the repeats.
Tony's sister on the Sopranos, Janice, was pretty annoying.

TBH the acting on Prison Break isn't really the problem. It was always an over-the-top programme so the really intense expressions just added to to it but now the bad acting is just emphasised by the really boring writing and stories! Susan is really ruining it too, she's the most irritating character on tv!

what annoys me most is;;;;;
every woman is in love with him, every man is intimidated by him, every child wants him to be their daddy. the whole swat team will be kitted out to take down the terrorist with the uzi but plain clothes horatio will be the one to take him out with one shot. the doctor who calls everyone .'baby'....(also annoying) will have just completed an autopsy and horatio will come out with.....'whats that', pulling a 4''piece of metal out of the body that the doctor missed, stupid woman, where would you be without him! it's the way he uses everyones name and never looks anyone in the eye, it's the way he walks, the way he takes off his glasses with both hands,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i just hatttttttttttttttttttttttttteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee him. i'd say all the other actors want to kill him. i'd say they get their scripts and cringe at the arse kissing deference they have to treat him with. caruso was apparently an arse in nypd, thinking he was god. so you can imagine what he's like now. he must have something seriously big on the producers, cause it ain't his acting that's keeping him there.
