designing mobile phone application

Hi there, for college we are designing an application to run on a mobile phone. I've opted to design an application to aid with basic gaeilge.

Areas I'm including are - Useful phrases, colours, places and food. I'll also be linking to the focal.ie database and the englishirishdictionary, along with contact details for foras na gaeilge and any other info I can muster up.

Basically I'm looking for anything that you think would be either beneficial to add to the application itself (a completely different topic) or some suggestions for common phrases or places or food I haven't though of. I've a few compiled already, but could do with a few more!

Once it's complete, I'll upload it for you to download and beta test if you want Will be some time before that though, just working on the resources and frontend at the moment.

Sounds like a big enough application!

Hmm, I'm always wondering where places with Irish is- ie an conradh/club sult srl.

And an up to date list of places that stock Lá nua!!

I'll defo help with beta testing - great idea.

having access to the focal database would be brill - there are always words one gets stuck with.

A really big one thats completely different is making a T9 text dictionary as gaeilge... Feachtas have campaigned for the networks to do it themselves but they havent...

The application will be big enough, but I'm not worried about the actual design itself as programming is my forte.. I just want to get enough resources together for it to be anyway useful.
