Mid-Stakes, 6-Max, Online Cash Games....Books? Posts?

    Hey guys.
Since I'm gonna take a bit of a break from the poker playing for a small while, I felt like it was the right time to brush up on some study. I haven't really made much of an effort to improve my game in quiet a while, and what I did seems to have backfired.
I have a number of books at home, but they're predominantly concerned with Tournament play, both sng and mtt. I don't have any books regarding cash play.
Could ye point me in the direction of a decent Online Cash book. Preferable dedicated to the 6-max mid-stakes game (1/2,2/4,3/6)
I've also ordered Zen and the Art of Poker, it's a long shot, but hopefully it will help me bring back some self control at the tables!

I've started to browse around the forums again too. But if anyone has links to top quality threads on boards/2plus2/etc dealing with mid stakes shorthanded cash games, feel free to post them here, would be very much appreciated.

I joined Cardrunners and there's a few good videos up there that I've seen so far. A few crap ones too though. Are many of ye joined there? Did ye find it helped your game?
There doesn't seem to be as many articles as I would have expected... just videos and blogs... And its hard to traipse through the rubish in the blogs.

any other advice for getting my game in shape is also welcome.
    gl,
    j

Zen and the Art of poker is v good imo, the first half rocks. the second half is useless though.

there no books that I would recommend for online cash games. IMO, You should religiously read every post in MSNL and SSNL on 2+2. Watch out for the good posters and try to ask yourself why they are advocating what they are advocating. respond to every thread with what you would do, and people will critisice your advice if its bad [invaluable tool for improving]

Zen is good but a bit cliched in parts imo. The only thing bordering on an acceptable cash game strategy book is 'professional no limit hold 'em'. Some good stuff in there, but some horrible concepts too. 2+2 reading really is the way to go. Cardrunners was very good for me when I started off, but now I just watch the SSNL videos for validation of what I'm doing if I'm running bad. I love the thought process in some the high stakes videos too....

Ya, I've heard that about zen all right.
I was guessing the response would be similar to what it is. There's probably a reason I don't own or have never heard of any decent cash game books... there's none there!

Ill be checking 2+2 most evenings for a while, but there is so much crap posted. I guess I just haven't taken the time to know and look out for the good ssnl and msnl posters.

    cheers for the input.

BobboFitos wrote a book, it's $750 but if you're playing midstakes that's not exactly going to break the bank. Wish I could give you a review but unfortunately I haven't splashed out yet.

seen that thread to on leggo, i'd be willing to go halfs with someone on it as its sold in adobe format.

Re OP the quickest way to improve is by watching videos by the better players and try and understand the reasoning behind their decisions if unexplained, take notes in interesting spots etc.

not going to break the bank, but that's a hell of a lot to pay for a 150 page pdf.
