they have to reply with "I'm loving it"

well then your a horrible person.

making them say a horrible humiliating line working in a job that does a lot more work than other similiar paying €8.65 an hour jobs.

If you/your gf don't like it then go get one of the other €8.65 jobs that doesn't require it. If it's company policy then tough sh1t.

dont need too. the manager in the mcdonalds where my gf works doesnt make them say that stupid line.

thus that manager is a nice person.

No he's not doing his job properly. He is there to enforce rules and regulations, not ignore the ones he doesn't like.

mcdonalds is a franchise. rules and regulations in that matter are optional for the manager/owner of the shop to decide if they are used in their shop.

Is he the owner? If not then he doesn't have the right to decide.

I personally think all staff should say it, if only to brighten up my day

I'd do it, but I'd leave out the last 'la' so they get thrown off-balance.

that's not cool, when I'm in McDonalds I want to get my food and sit down, not sing to the staff

and I especially don't want some dweeb in front of me doing it

I'm going head into Abrakebabra later and start singing
'You've got the whole world....in yer hands... you've got the...'

well .. he's not a cocksucker ... like a manager who enforced that rule would
be ... an arselicking cocksucker trying to climb (crawl a better word) the ladder..

Hmm, my sarcasm meter doesn't seem to be registering anything, Is there a chance this is serious?

I'd say it's about 70/30 in favour sarcasm as if someone did say it to me upon ordering it would brighten up my day and give me a good laugh

Ah I thought you meant brighten up your day in a "look at the cheerful person going about their daily business in a positive manner, isn't the world great!" way, as opposed to a 'lol @ the state of you' way.

This only reenforces my belief that working in mcdonalds would be one of the most horrible jobs I can think of all things combined.

No im serious, they dont say the line, they are out on their ear.
Im too busy as a manager of Mcdonalds to have my employees not say the line.
