Get a black one, and make sure it has some strings on it.

I agree with Bob, go for black. It sounds much better! :)

The Yamaha Pacifica is a great, and oft recommended beginners electric.

Yep, Pacifica is a fine guitar and well within your budget.

Well, then a Yamaha acoustic. :p The message here is: buy a Yamaha, they own the entry level market. :D

Might get a decent Mexican Strat for around €300.....buyandsell...ebay or somewhere similar. YES...i have seen them for that price lately......

Good secondhand Epiphone Les Paul for €250.....they are that cheap.
They are electric guitars.....i know nothing about acoustics......

And the Yamaha Pacifica....before someone posts an angry reply because i did not mention them.......

i gave a link to the wrong guitar last time ment this one.

i live with 2 guys, one has an old squire stratocaster, dont think they make the exact model any more. The other guy has a pacifica. they both sound and pretty similar, and they both are very nice to play.

I say an Ibanez JS2100 CA. If you're gonna do it, do it right.

Although realistically I would agree with Yamaha Pacifica to get your bearings, learn how to play then your next guitar will depend greatly upon the style of play you opt for.

They can be nice, but they're frequently dreadul. In general, the Yamaha is less hit and miss.
