hey, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

i've recently applied for a few different jobs. got a call from one of them today to say i got the job - great news. however i've also got through to the second round of interviews for a job i'd prefer. do i take the job i was offered or risk it go for the interview and maybe end up with none? decisions decisions. i know its a personal choice just wondering if anyone else had this experience as i'm sure it must happen regularly enough. anyway thanks for reading. :)

CONGRATS!!!! I was in a similar situation about 3 weeks ago, first offer and then a second offer from a totally out of the blues company but i was waiting for my dream company to ring! I took the company out of the blues because it is a challenge, i am still in training :)
Sometimes your personal choice isn't always best! Can you put off signing your contract for a week? I had about 2/3 weeks to make up my mind

All the best! And keep us informed

In my experience, when people are in this situation they just ask the company that made the offer for a few days. Then also let the other company you have the interview with that you have an offer on the table (or are expecting one if you don't want to pressure them too much). That way the second company will know they'll need to move fast after they interview you if they want to hire you.

    hey thanks for the advice.

not sure if i can get around it though. training for the job i was offered starts monday and have to let them know today really. interview for the other one is thursday morning so wouldn't be able to go if i start the training! so looks like i have to make the decision by 5 this evening.
keep changing my mind but at the minute i'm swaying towards holding out for the interview. if its meant to be its meant to be i suppose... :)
