Paid Dell by bank transfer

I ordered an xps m1530 last wed 30th Jan and paid by bank transfer. My problem is i have not heard anything back from Dell yet.

No order confirmation email or anything saying that my payment has been received. I emailed the salesperson I ordered from and he emailed me back saying your order is in place and in production but it was just an ordinary email not an official dell email with order no. and customer no. etc.

I now starting to get worried, is this kind of delay normal?

I would say it's quite normal
    1. You paid by bank transfer which takes a few days
    2. I think there may be a delay in shipping that model
Once you have evidence of the bank transfer I wouldn't be getting too worried.

Panic over. Received my order confirmation in the post today, they certainly took their time about it.

They took their time about it? It took 6 working days to process your payment (Bank transfer can take 2 days minimum to clear), and POST the comfirmation to you? That is pretty damn good if you ask me.

If you wanted it faster maybe you should have used a credit card?
