Sky digital box...any good?

I used to be a subscriber to Sky Digital for a number of years until I moved into my current apartment. As part of the rent, we get the basic sky/terrestrial channels running along with the Sports and Movies package. But because the signal runs through a co-axial cable, it looks poor on my 42" plasma.

So I still have the aforementioned Sky box. Is there any way I gen get some free channels running on it (legally) like Sky news etc? I only have the box and no dish.

Sorry if it sounds like a noob question, but it is really :)

You would need a dish (aimed at Astra 2 and Eurobird at 28.2/28.5°E) connected to Sky box to make any use out of it.
