    Hi all,

I have searched the threads and I cant seem to find an answer to my question.

Does anyone know how I could get the standard Dutch TV channels here in Ireland?

Sky dont seem to offer them, I have looked up the links to the foreign satellite but cant seem to find the channels.

Anyone out there have any ideas.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Cheers

Dutch channels are on Canal Digitaal - on Astra1 19*E. You will need a sub. card.

    Thanks for the reply.

Can I receive this signal with a normal dish?

    80cm to 90cm recommended.
    Which is a "normal" non-Sky dish :)

You need a Dutch social security number to pay the basic annual fee for card.

There was a weekend when most basic Dutch channels was Free to air. Reception was fine on 80cm in Limerick.

BVN (Het beste van Vlaanderen en Nederland) and a few radiostations are FTA on Astra1G 19,2°e, 12574, h, 22000, 5/6.
For the regional channels on Astra3 23.5° position I'm using an 80cm dish in Sligo.
    Tot ziens.

No problem here with a temporary 80cm Lidl dish. 77% quality reading on a Technomate (7.5dB).

The TPs for Astra2Connect data are also fine on this dish.

The big issue with A2C seems to be the uplink spots. Drops from 128k upstream to under 10k in light rain. They themselves have said A2C is not suitable for a Nationwide service.
