Hey all i took a trip with Roger ( Vulcan57 ) to a very quiet and windy EINN to do some spotting on what turned out to be a very dull and rainy day, heres the best of a really bad bunch!!! and i took loads!

Anyway enjoy, oh and yes they are not all the same Aer Lingus

St Mella actually stayed for a bit on the Active wondering about was he going to go or hold for weather before requesting a right hand departure after roll to avoid some very nasty weather inbound from the West.

    Hope someone likes them,

    Enjoy,

Good photos for such a crappy day. Fair play for braving the elements!

Was a good day even if it was wet, cold and windy. Some really nice pictures Dave well done. Thought I would post a few here rather than start a seperate thread on exactly the same subject. Hope you don't mind. Anyway here a few of mine.

There will be more carriers during the Summer. I've been tempted to go there to spot. I've only ever collected passengers there.

I've been put off by the security around the place. I wouldn't want to drive all the way down to be disappointed (I'm in Wicklow).

Usually I find thursdays and Saturdays during the Summer (Mid June is best) to be the best.

Some nice visitors. Pity the Air France 747 service is moving to Dublin. Highlight of a Saturday...

You should have seen his Departure, all il say is he must have been an EX Fast jet pilot, if you have ever seen an F16 Depart its gear up and a steep angle up and the Norwegian crew did it, even Roger was amazed and he's seen it all at RIAT!

NAS were getting some paint jobs done in LTPS. That aircraft would have been empty leaving SNN hence the exuberant take off.

Horrible fog over Shannon this morning. Our EI110 from JFK aborted landing due to fog rolling in this morning at 5:45am. Even when we landed it was still pretty bad.Fair dues to the crew.

    Nice work Steyr.

What camera set up do you use for those, purely as an aside?

Hi RM and thanks, for those shots i used a Fuji Finepix s5700

Empty 737's are mad. The payware 737's in flight sim give an incredibly realistic interpretation....I have flown hte B736 SNN-DUB with minimum fuel- takeoff run of 800metres, climb rate of in excess of 5000fpm without even breaking a sweat! :O

Good shots lads, feel free to include equipment used and settings!

St. Aoife used to be a Shorts 360.

First Biz Jet is G150 N150GA

Second Biz Jet is apparently US Mil.

Cool, ta. The s5700 is an excellent value camera! Probably the best out there. Very good quality shots for an excellent price.

I must dig out my old aircraft pics and scan them in.
