New D300

    Ok,
I just got my D300 today. I like it, but I couldn't be arsed to play about with it too much. Just in one of those moods.
It feels considerably heavier than the D80 - and different in just enough ways to make it annoying to start with.
And I'm back to CF again. I knew there was a reason I didn't sell my D70s.

Thing is, I have a D70s and a D80 too - Do I keep the D70s (the other CF camera) and stick with CF or do I get rid of the D70s and keep the D80 - a better camera, but mess around with different card formats?
Also, I think the two bodies is going to be a constant part of my complete setup from now on, so I'm going to look into getting a new larger bag - I've out grown my Slingshot 100 and Slingshot 200 in the space of a year.

Bear in mind that the cover has snapped off my D80s card slot, and it has a single dead sensor pixel.

    Steve.

I reckon keep the D80 - No point in going for a lesser camera for the sake of using SD instead of CF...

What type of bag do you prefer? Shoulder slung or on the back?

Do you do any IR stuff? Like you I have a few to many cameras at the moment and I'm thinking of converting my D50 to IR. LifePixel sell the IR filter plate.

I put my D200 up for sale now that I have the D300 but there doesn't seem to be any interest in them unless its priced very, very low. I suspect you won't get much money for your D70 or D80. I say keep them and pass/lend them onto a friend/family if needed.

Well seen as your shooting compact flash in your main body beeter to have a compact flash as a back up,You'll get alot more for the D80 than the D70!As its a back up(im guessing)you dont really need a high quaility cam and im sure the D70s is still decent
Money from selling D80= better bag and maybe a lense or a couple of 8 gig cf cards

    Hmm. That's a bit strange.

A 3rd body should help with the sports photography though ...

    :)

No. Just a long primes lens and a second body with a medium range 2.8. would do me fine. :)
