    Hello ,
I've just been setting up a vostro for someone this evening and I've noticed that ,the power supply is interfering with remote controls.

As soon as I plug out the vostro psu ,my remotes work:confused:
I thought there were some famous canadian rules against this:D

Both my mum and my sister have a vostro 1000 and I've never noticed anything like this. Are you sure the batteries aren't just on their last legs?

I know the d series used to have an issue with screen flicker when the a/c was pulled out inpromptu. That was fixed with a patch. I would reckon there is probably a patch for this too.

It was two remotes tbh, for some reason disconnecting the psu entered my mind and then the remotes worked again.
Maybe it has something to do with the 10gang spike lead that it's connected to.

It's not a bad machine though ,nice and quiet.
