Video Cable for Archos 504?

    Hi,
Was wondering has anyone gotten the cable from the Archos website, for the Archos 504? Thinking of getting it, but as any other similar cables (from cameras, etc) fail to output the TV signal, I'm wondering does it actually work, or does it have to be their "special" cable?

Also, I've only noticed the cable as an option for the 504 there in the last few months, which would suggest that it only came out in the last few months?

I don’t think the cables are ‘special’. I just got the DVR Station for my 405 and the cables that came with it all seem standard enough. Try Maplin (Blanch or Jervis St) – they are always good for cables and stuff.

Aye, I also have a DVR station. The reason I thought the cable was special is that I've plugged in a few cables, but got no video output. Never have.

Aye, but as I said, to no avil. Would like to ensure that the port works before I shell out monies for it. If it worked, it'd be great, as I could watch movies in a mates house, without the need for the DVR station.

you do need a special av cable for Archos Media Players ,its a 4pin rather than some av cables that look like a 4pin but do not have ground, ebay is a good place for buying cheap ones ,just search for archos av cables.
