Bit disappointed

Bit disappointed that this forum seems to be so quiet. Is it usual to have so few people on? What are the best times - and what other equine forums do you go on? I am on New Rider, Horse and Hound, Stable to Stable and Saddle Up!!! Addict yes. Think I have seen a few names on this from New Rider. the one problem with the Uk boards is that I always feel a bit on the edge.

Come on lets spend more time on the Irish ones:D

Well you only joined on the 4 of this month. It is a good forum if you contribute.

This forum is relatively new, and yes it is pretty quiet. I'm not contributing much at the moment as Im too busy and not riding (I havent logged on to NR in ages either).

Why dont you start some threads?

Wombles - the activity of a forum is simply a function of the number of people who visit it..
If you get more people to join, the there will be more traffic and more posts!

You are pretty new here but you will see that there are times when the forum is more active then not.. for instance it is dead over the weekends.

I know I'm pretty new, it was just a general observation as everytime I signed in I was all alone! I was more trying to make the point that it seems a pity so many Irish people spend so much time on the English boards than they do on the Irish boards.

I will be trying to get as many people as I can to join dont worry! It was more of an observation than anything else. Sorry if it sounded rude:o

No its not rude at all. Its a fact. We're just a new board though, it might just take a while to get going. None of the bigger British based boards really cater for local Irish equestrian issues so I thought that this forum might fill the gap.

Thanks fits! Thought I might have overstepped by newbie status!! I think the idea of the board is great. The Irish section on the British boards is non existant really. I am delighted to find both this board and the other new one that I have joined, and intend to get as many people as possible to join in. :D I started on equestrian forums when there was really only the old now extinct BHS forum. I was doing my BHS exams at the time and used to find it really helpful.

I have just joined and have found the threads on here really helpful :). Its great that people want to share their knowlege and passion for horses. I may only be a newbie but we all have to start somewhere. Its great to have boards in Ireland that you can relate it.

Hi tirchonaill77 welcome. I made this post three months ago, I think I joined in a quiet week. Its great now. I had hoped the post had got lost! At the beginning it seemed really quiet compared to boards like NR and SU but as Fits said they dont cater to the Irish riders. There are a few ex NR people on here I think but I dont recognise any SUers. I havent deserted them completely either.

As Zaraba suggested its up to all of us to get people to join.

Lets hope this old post gets lost again. I will have to hide for a while :o
