    my music practicals are in april and i am playin the guitar.
    i was just wondering wud these be good songs to play or would i need to play harder songs:

    A Time For Heroes by The Libertines
    Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton
    Holiday by Green Day
    Californication by Red Hot Chilli Peppers

    p.s. do u hav to do sight reading??? and if u do is it chords, tabs or notes on a stave for guitar???

    Depends.....you playing electric guitar for these? For playing four you will only be assessed on one elective, therefore at higher level. You're standard will need to be excellent

    I did the guitar sight reading, its chords. There are /'s on the stave, chords written above. For where you see the /'s, you strum down once. Dont go doing any other strum......think that is what is mainly tested IMO

    The standard for Junior Cert doesn't have to be excellent really. As long as you play them well you should be ok. What does your teacher think of your choices?

    thanks! i was looking at the 2007 sight reading for guitar and it has three options......do u get to pick which 1 u do r does the examiner???
