    Hi,
Wondering is anyone can give me a bit of a low down on Larkhill's boys school. My DS is enrolled to go there in the future and I know absolutely nothing about it. He's enrolled in it as it's the nearest to us - but I would appreciate any information on its reputation, both academically & socially Thanks.

    hi trish123,
i am also from the locality originally. i am also an infants school teacher myself and i did 2 wks observation in this school b4 i started teaching.
my opinion of it is complicated, firstly i know the pricipal personally and he is a lovely approachable guy which is always a plus. the staff at the time (5yrs ago) were also very nice and most of them seemed very keen.
at the time however it felt like the school was lacking in teaching resources altho with the funding given to primary schools in the last few yrs i'd be surprised if this were still the case.
it mite be worth asking to pop in to the school and have a look around some day. i dont know what their policy on this is in the school but it can no harm to ask!!
anyway if i was sending my child there (if i had any) i wouldnt be worried.
    hope this helps

I know this is from a year ago but for anyone still interested I personally think it is a horrible school. St. Pats in Drumcondra is 10 times better.

Hi My son started last sept 08 and he is very happy there. We his parents are very happy with the school they do a lot of extras with the children e.g. christmas activities, international day, sports with GAA coachs. The teachers are the best you will get anywhere.
